about Medina County
Medina County, was formed in February, 1812. The county
now has an area of 435 square miles. Seventeen civil townships
constitute Medina county. They are: Brunswick, Chatham, Granger,
Guilford, Harrisville, Hinkley, Homer, Lafayette, Litchfield,
Liverpool, Medina, Montville, Sharon, Spencer, Wadsworth,
Westfield, York.
With some of the most beautiful historic architecture in
the State of Ohio, Medina County is a well worthwhile area
to call home. Most of the communities within the county have
a town square, gazebo and authentic Victorian buildings encircling
the square. Strong community effort and commitment have helped
to maintain and preserve the beauty of these squares for
all to enjoy.
Medina, the county seat, is twenty-eight miles southwest
of Cleveland and is known throughout the United States and
Canada as the home of the A.I. Root Company, bee culturists,
manufacturers of bee keepers' supplies and retailers of fine
home candles.

County Convention and Visitors Bureau has a "...vast
array of festivals, shopping, attractions, historic architecture
and eateries (that) make Medina County a special place
to visit and live."
